About me

Dr Thomas Hiscox

I am an education-focussed lecturer and coordinator of first year biology at Monash University. I have an extensive background in tertiary education with teaching experience across multiple disciplines including applied science and medicine. Prior to becoming an education researcher, my research involved bacterial gene regulation and molecular drug design for the development of novel antimicrobials. My current research focus is in the development of teaching innovations which help to engage students in large cohorts and the inculcation of key employability skills amongst undergraduate science students to better prepare them for the workforce.
